Protection and Promotion of Dalit Human Rights in Karnali Province

Background

‘Protection and Promotion of Dalit Human Rights in Karnali Province ‘ project will support National Human Rights Measures of Nepal through education and evidence-based policy advocacy and soliciting services as well as justice delivery to victims of Caste Based Discrimination and Untouchability (CBDU) with the development and execution of a dedicated case management framework.

Major components

1. Education and Policy Advocacy

Dialogues with Law Enforcement Agencies

2. Dalit Human Rights Defenders

Train and engage Dalit Human Rights Defenders (DHRD) with local authority.

Community sessions on rights and legal measures.

3. Case Management Framework

Develop and execute a Caste Based Discrimination and Untouchability (CBDU) case management                framework.
