SAMATA foundation organised a press meet on 11th September, 2015 to highlight on  Dalits movement and the affect afterwards.

Addressing a press meet in it's own office, Chairperson of Dalit Civil Society and SAMATA foundation, Padam Sundas demanded that the rights of Dalit community ensured by the previous constitution Assembly should be ensured in the new constitution as well.
Chairman Sundas expressed concern over the failure of the second CA to incorporate the rights of dalits and women that were ensured by the first CA. He said principle of compensation and proportional representation for Dalits should also be ensured in the new constitution. 
He further said the words "by making laws" in the fundamental rights section of the new constitution should be amended.
At the press meet, print media were invited. Top national daily's like "The Himalayan Times", " Gorkhapatra" and online news portal etc published the news.

SAMATA foundation organized media training for its staff on August 26th, 2015 at its own hall. Mr. Dharmendra Jha, the formar chairman of Federation of Nepalese Journalist and current advisor provided one day training to SAMATA's staff. The main purpose of the training is to train the staff and make them aware about the role of media in the NGO sector.
The training was mainly focused on the media, its role and the benefit it can provide to the foundation. The media trainer Mr. Jha highlighted the issues related to Dalit movement, coverage of Dalit issues in different media and the outcome afterwards. He also trained the staff to prepare press releases, how to handle press and how to use media for positive response.
After the training, SAMATA foundation's staffs were happy to learn about News and the essence that makes News and the way to express the views to the media person. They were quite confident to tackle with media person in any related subject or at any situations.
